the first carved kneeling holding a peach in its right hand and resting the left on its head, the smoothly polished stone of even white colour with a brown inclusion carefully selected for the ape’s rear foot; the bat carved with outstretched wings resting on two peaches, the pale celadon stone with a faint minute patch of russet skin

Condition

The two carvings are in good overall condition. There is some minor age wear and small nibbles the edge of the bat carving. The actual colours are slightly warmer than the catalogue illustration.
