of globular form, supported on a slightly recessed foot, with a domed cover and bud finial, finely inlaid around the exterior with gilt-bronze filigree forming taotie masks, interspersed with alternating pink, blue and red hardstones beads, the smoothly polished jade of pale celadon-green colour
Condition
One bead is detached and kept inside the box. Several small sections of the gilt-bronze filigree strap-work are missing, some being kept separately and attached to the interior of the box. Otherwise the box and cover are in good condition.
