comprising a ‘Jizhou’ footed dish applied with a black and russet-splashed glaze over a fine buff-coloured stoneware, a globular ewer similarly glazed, resting on a flat-cut foot, and a white-glazed ribbed jarlet
Condition
The rim of the dish has a curved original firing crack (approx. 1 by 2 cm) with associated losses which have been slightly retouched. The ewer has a restored area of approx. 0.5 by 1.2 cm to the exterior mouthrim and another small stabilised area to the tip of the spout. There is some original fritting to the mouthrim of the white-glazed jar which may have been slightly polished.
