Condition

The paperweight is in overall good condition. There is some expected surface wear to the ivory plaque, together with some minor nicks to the edges of the wood frame or occasional loose wiring to the inlay. There is some typical surface wear to the bamboo cup with a few expected age cracks issuing vertically from the mouthrim and foot, minor nicks or occasional dents to the carving, all consistent with age.
