Description

  • bronze
of globular form raised on three round feet and set with two angular handles, finely decorated with archaistic motifs and further embellished with three gilt lion-masks, the cover similarly decorated and set with a lion head-finial

Condition

The censer is in good overall condition. There is some surface wear, minor dents, soiling to the enamels and oxidisation to the gilt-bronze sections, all consistent with age.
