the Bodhisattva seated in vajrapryankasana holding the stem of a flower in front of a prabhamandala, surrounded by Usnisavijaya and Amitayus below, a Panchen Lama and a Dalai Lama above, Chakrasamvara standing in alidha clasping his red consort against a flaming prabhamandala
Condition
The embroidery with two areas of splits and tears to the fabric in the centre and upper left (visible in the catalogue illustration). There is expected surface soiling and fading of the pigment but generally the colours remains rather fresh. The silk appliqué Thangka with splits at the centre of the work and a few repairs showing on the underside. There is extensive surface soiling and fading to the pigment, predominantly the red as visible on the catalogue photo, the blue remaining quite strong.
