A 'YUE' BOX AND COVER SONG / JIN DYNASTY

of compressed globular form, impressed and carved on the domed cover with a six-petalled flower, applied overall with a transparent olive-green glaze mottled with a dark brown splash on the pistil of the flower and to the side of the box, the base and the interior of the rims left unglazed revealing a pale buff-coloured stoneware body

The box is in good overall condition. There is a minute chip to the interior rim and typical minor flaws in the glaze including iron spots and minute gaps.
