of archaistic form and trapezoidal section, supported on a splayed rectangular base and set with two pairs of loop handles, the cover surmounted by an undulating crown section, crisply moulded on the sides with archaistic mythical beasts and applied overall with an unctuous pale greenish-yellow glaze, the base incised with a six-character reign mark
Condition
The vessel is in very good overall condition. There are a few minor expected specks in the glaze or very minor nicks in the biscuit along the interior rim or the foot rim, original to the piece. The actual colour is somewhat richer and more tinged to yellow compared to the catalogue illustration.

A Guangxu reign-marked vessel of this form, applied with a white glaze was sold in these rooms, 8th April 2013, lot 3083.
