each bowl with fluted sides and gilded mouthrim, the exterior vividly decorated with sprigs of flowers including peony, lotus, chrysanthemum, all in bloom and attracting various insects, inscribed with a six-character iron-red seal mark, the interior of the large dish enamelled with branches of chrysanthemum and peony

Condition

The overall condition of the pair of bowls is very good with only some minor firing imperfections as well as expected wear to the gilt decoration and enamels. The dish is slightly warped and has some minor flakes to the unglazed footring, but the overall condition is quite good except for some expected enamel wear, surface scratches and firing imperfections.
