Condition

Pile ranges from near original 1/8in. with dark browns oxidized to knotheads, madder reds and ivories also low to knotheads in some areas. Two reweaves along upper end edge; approx. 4in. by 4in. and 5in. by 2in.; now faded. Attendant repaired slit. Scattered spot stains and surface dirt; should enhance with cleaning. Original two-cord light blue cotton selvages with some later overcasting. Original flatwoven ends and remnants of fringes; now secured with blanket stitch. Cloth tape sewn on reverse at both ends. Sound fabric, good overall condition.
