Condition

Pile generally good, near original, closely shorn 1/8in. overall. A 6in. by 2in. reweave in lower right corner. Two 4in. by 2in. reweaves along upper edge. A 3in. by 1in. reweave in upper right corner. Small repaired slits along ends. Minor scattered foldwear low to knotheads; not extensive. Original 3-cord brown-wool selvages intact with some fraying and later overcasting. Ends missing outer guardstripes and now with knotted warp fringes. Very supple handle, lustrous wool, good overall condition.
