Condition

Pile generally good ranging from original to 1/8 of an inch with dark browns oxidized, now re-pilled in a slightly lighter brown. Scattered re-pilled foldwear. Boarders and darkened field now with large areas of re-pilling due to moth damage. Some oxidized taupes, low to knot-heads and spot foundation. Upper left corner 2ft by 4ft rewoven area. Size later overcast. Upper end with remnants of end finishes, lower end with original end finishes. Supple handle, lustrous wool, sound overall condition. Please note that a license may be required to export textiles, rugs and carpets of Iranian origin from the United States. Clients should enquire with the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regarding export requirements.
