Condition

Pile ranges from near original 1/6in. mostly in borders with field generally low to knotheads. Scattered repiling, foldwear and low areas in field; generally though the central axis of the carpet. Repaired slits along upper edge. A 4in. by 3in. reweave along lower end edge. Small scattered reweaves in field. 3-chord wool selvages intact, with some later overcasting. Minor losses to end guardstripes, now secured. Very supple handle, lustrous wool. Good overall condition. Please note that a license may be required to export textiles, rugs and carpets of Iranian origin from the United States. Clients should enquire with the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regarding export requirements. Please check with the Carpet department if you are uncertain as to whether a lot is subject to this restriction or if you need assistance.
