Pile generally very closely shorn 1/10in. with small vertical foldwear areas showing knotheads and warp ties. Metal thread to the interior of two central palmettes. Original three-cord selvages with minor losses and fraying. Some later overcasting over the original selvages in areas. Original 1/4in. flatwoven ends with trimmed warp fringes. Ends secured with running stitch. Dense weave, supple handle, good overall condition. Please note that a license may be required to export textiles, rugs and carpets of Iranian origin from the United States. Clients should enquire with the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regarding export requirements. Please check with the Carpet department if you are uncertain as to whether a lot is subject to this restriction or if you need assistance.
