Ex-libris lithographié par Edouard Manet pour illustrer Le Corbeau d'Edgar Allan Poe dans la traduction de Stéphane Mallarmé illustrée par Edouard Manet (Paris, Lesclide, 1875 ; voir le lot 109).
L'ex-libris fit l'objet d'un tirage limité (voir l'affiche publicitaire éditée par Lesclide), "option" proposée aux acquéreurs des exemplaires qui, tout comme pour la couverture, choisissaient de l'ajouter ou non à leur exemplaire.
Comme tout ex-libris, il était destiné à porter le nom du possesseur de l'exemplaire. Mallarmé opta, pour certains exemplaires qu'il offrit lui-même et parfois de concert avec Manet, d'y apposer un envoi de sa main.
Celui-ci est d'une taille particulièrement grande.
