Condition

The canvas has an old and firm relining. The paint surface is stable and the varnish clear and even. There is no major damages visible to the naked eye. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals minor cosmetic retouchings scattered throughout, the most concentrated areas of which are in the dark green of the far river bank at the right and left, and in the dark door behind the seated man in white. Otherwise in fair overall condition, and offered in a Dutch style black bevelled frame in good condition.
