the cartouche-shaped back topped with a floral spray, the conforming serpentine seat-rail on cabriole legs, stamped B MAUCUY to inside of back-rail; redecorated
Condition
In need of some attention. The top-rail on one armchair has a break and a small section missing where it joins the side-rail and will need some attention and there is also a break on the opposite side as well which can easily be restored and filled. On the same chair there is a chip where the arm joins the support and the front right leg when facing has a break and is loose as is the opposing front leg. The rear right leg has a restored break.The second armchair is sound and sturdy with some very minor chips to the decoration. There have been some very minor replacements to the seat-rails and the legs have been repegged. Restorations to the rail on both chairs.
