Condition

The canvas has not been lined and there is a circa 3 by 4 cm. patch on the reverse towards the lower left corner. There is very minor hairline craquelure on the painted surface, which seems stable, and a small spot of what appears to be a previous repair in the second log from the ground which corresponds to the patch on the reverse. The weave of the canvas is somehow more visible in the sky probably attributed to re-stretching along the upper edge. Ultra-violet light reveals only few scattered spots of retouching, notably in the second log addressing the aforementioned repair. The picture is in overall good condition and ready to hang. Presented in a decorative gilt frame.
