Scene with barber:
Overall the condition of the wax is good, with some dirt and wear consistent with age. There is some craquelure and a few minor losses to the background. There are a few further minor losses, including to the barber's proper left wrist, and possibly to the bottom edge. There is dust throughout. There is some evidence of past worming to the inner wood frame.
Other scene:
Two of the figures and several limbs are loose. The roof at the top is also loose. There are several further loose pieces, and there are a few minor losses, including to the seated figure's proper left fingers. There is some evidence of past worming to the inner wood frame.
The gilt wood frames are in good condition, with wear to the gilding, including craquelure, in particular at the high points. There are a few minor chips and abrasions to the edges and corners. There is minor stable splitting to the wood and some evidence of past worming. There is a metal hook for hanging at the top of each reverse.
