Condition
There are a few losses, notably to the woman's proper left index finger. Several sections of wax are loose and partially damaged; these include: parts of the woman's headdress, two locks of her hair, parts of the man's headdress and trousers, parts of his proper left sleeve, and the bottom left section of his vest. Otherwise the condition of the waxes is good, with some dirt and wear to the surfaces consistent with age.
There is wear to the velvet on the bases, and there is a loss to the upper edge of the man's base. There is also wear to the painted wood and to the glass domes. There is particular dirt to one of the domes.
