Description

  • gilt-bronze
  • each 75cm. high; 2ft. 5½in.
in the form of a winged trumpeteer supporting on her head an Ionic capital issuing four candlearms cast with scrolling acanthus; formerly fitted for electricity

Condition

In overall good conserved condition, These are a little dirty and would benefit from a light clean according to taste. There are some very small holes in the candlearms where possibly there was previously drops. There is evidence that there was previously a further central candle-nozzle. There are some minor rubbing to the gilding on the backplates.
