Description

  • 110cm. high, 100cm. wide; 3ft. 7½in., 3ft. 3½in.
with stylised anthemion corona, the flower cast ring supporting ten scrolled candlearms interspersed by five further candle-nozzles with a foliate cast finial; fitted for electricity

Condition

In overall good conserved condition. Gilding more golden and attractive than in the catalogue photograph. One of the inner rings is slightly warped but this is hardly noticeable. There is evidence of another row of drops on the drip-pans as there are small holes for drops. Very minor chips to some of the glass drops and some may have been replaced. Some of the mounts on the central ring flanking the candlearms are slightly crooked but can easily be straightened but this is not too noticeable. The chandelier is probably German.
