Description

  • Walnut
  • 62cm. high, 190cm. wide, 60cm. deep; 2ft. ½in., 6ft. 2¾in., 1ft. 11¾in.
the front panel centred by a coat of arms flanked by griffins, eagles and swans and scrolling foliage, with a grotesque mask at each corner,  the sides centred by a stylised anthemion and foliage above a gadrooned frieze on later paw feet, with a red inventory number A A I 50.17

Condition

In overall good conserved condition. Evidence of old woodworm which appears to be no longer active. There are old restorations e.g. a patch to the top approx. 28cm x 12cm. There are cracks in the raised section of the top together with some restored cracks. There are construction cracks at joints which are normal and can be left.
