Condition
The board is ensuring a flat and even support. There is a light circa 4 cm scratch in the red pigments of the figure's chest and some minor light wrinkles in the artist's sheet. Ultra-violet light reveals an even varnish, a few scattered small spots of retouching in the figure's face, a small circa 2 by 4 cm area in his shoulder and a number of minor scattered spots elsewhere. The overall appearance of the work is good and is otherwise ready to hang.
Presented in a simple gilt frame.
