Condition

The ivory panel has been laid on a sheet of paper, which is itself laid on a sheet of cloth, possibly linen. Both the paper and the cloth are slightly detached in the upper left corner. The ivory panel is quite undulated, notably in the upper right quadrant of the composition, and the painting surface seems to be in good condition as per the catalogue illustration. Ultra-violet light reveals two tiny spots of white pigment which fluoresce pink, and which could possibly not be retouching. Presented glazed and in a decorative gilt frame.
