Condition
The canvas has not been lined. Additional batons have been nailed to the outside of the stretcher thus covering most of the four edges of the canvas. There are two small nail holes, one to the left edge circa 11 cm from lower left corner, and one to the upper edge circa 3 cm from the upper right corner. A small area of blue pigment which could be inherent to the picture is visible in the foliage towards the upper centre of the composition. Ultra-violet light reveals very small spots of retouching in the sky towards the middle of the upper framing edge, a very fine stroke in the lake and other very minor scattered spots. The picture is on otherwise good condition and ready to hang.
Presented in a decorative gilt frame.
