Description

  • lacquer, wood ivory
of rectangular form, elaborately decorated with a warrior clothed in full armour in a landscape with cragged rocks and prunus tree, all encircled by a band of Japanese mon symbols, masks, musical instruments and scrolling clouds

Condition

In good general condition with the exception of minor losses to the extremities and inlays. There are general age cracks to the lacquer and minor flakes with associated retouching. Minor surface wear and rubbing to the gilding.
