the round-shouldered tapering body rising from a short straight foot to a short broad mouth, brightly enamelled around the exterior with four large ruyi-shaped panels alternately enclosing landscape scenes and flowers, reserved on a leafy foliate scroll against a black ground, all between a floral dark red ground lotus lappet band at the foot and collar, the domed cover similarly decorated and surmounted by a lion dog finial
Condition
The vase in good general condition. There are minor losses to the extremities of the lion finial on the cover. General enamel wear and surface scratches to both. Glaze firing imperfections.
