Description

the rounded sides rising from a tapered foot to an everted rim, crisply moulded to the interior with a ferocious dragon writhing beside a fish, its scaly body with muscular legs terminating in sharp claws, all encircled by a freely carved foliate scroll, the exterior moulded with lappets, covered overall in a sea-green glaze

Condition

The dish is in general good condition with the exception of general glaze wear across the surface, minor scratches/wear along the everted rim and shallow foot chips. The glaze is of a slightly darker celadon tone compared to the catalogue illustration. Minor glaze firing imperfections.
