  • 54.5cm by 33.5cm
of rectangular form, the top carved through the layers of red lacquer depicting figures amongst a landscape with pavilions and trees, all reserved against a yellow ground of cresting ripples, the sides and the feet decorated with flowers 

Condition

The four feet had been broken and repaired. There is damage to the side and general losses to the extremities. The lacquer surface with extensive flaking, revealing the base layer underneath in certain areas. There are colour inconsistencies to the top and the sides of the lacquer surface.
