  • Pair of Bookends with Acrobat Bears
  • each signed FRECOURT
  • silver-plated spelter and ivory, on veined green marble bases
  • 16 by 14.5cm., 6ΒΌ by 5 7/8 in.

Condition

Overall the condition of the objects is good with minor dirt and wear to the surfaces consistent with age. The silver plate has worn away slightly in a few areas, including at the ears. There are some small chips and abrasions to the edges and corners of the bases. There is minor stable splitting to the ivory consistent with material, and the root canal of the tusk is visible on one of the orbs. There are minor abrasions to the bears and minor oxidation to the silver consistent with material. One bear is slightly loose on the base.
