The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is much brighter and more vibrant in the original.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. Extremely close inspection reveals a few stable and unobtrusive hairline cracks in the thicker areas of white impasto, with an extremely small number of associated pinhead-sized specks of loss. Further extremely close inspection reveals some light drying cracks in the thinner area of red pigment towards the centre of the upper left quadrant. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.
