Description

  • silk
worked with yellow and salmon pink silk and silver threads in a floral design comprising roses and tulip buds on a blue ground, formed from various panels stitched together and mounted on a dark blue linen backing with twelve suspension loops, old inventory label stitched to right-hand corner of reverse

Condition

In fairly good condition, fragmentary, some ware, not all panels match each other, the threads with tears and associated patches of consolidation, few sections of lining between panels starting to come loose, one section patched/filled in with a small textile panel from another loom (near the bottom), reverse with few patches along the edges, as viewed.
