Description
- silk and metal thread
embroidered with gilt metal threads in relief with a central medallion featuring Allah in a large thuluth script encircled by a calligraphic red silk band, radiating rays and four calligraphic corner roundels on a green silk ground
Condition
Few minor tears to silk textile with some associated consolidation, including re-dyeing of the fabric, the metal threads bent, particularly at fold sections, oxidisation to threads, stains and discoloration to some areas consistent with age and use, as viewed.
