Description

  • Steel and lapis-lazuli
the tapered finely watered-steel blade with swollen tip, chiselled foliate motifs and split-palmettes around the forte and bird motif on straight edge, with carved calligraphic inscriptions on hilt, set with lapis-lazuli

Condition

In overall good condition, some small scratches and minor patches of oxidisation on blade, some abrasion to edge of one of lapis-lazuli mounts, with some erosion to metal mounts on hilt, as viewed.
