Catalogue Note
This miniature, which seems exceptional of Indian production at the time, is surely an interpretation of a Western work of art. The principal character recalls that depicted by Bonifacio Veronese in his 'Dives and Lazarus' (c.1540) in the Galleria dell’Accademia, Florence.
