Condition

In good condition. The construction joints to the inner ebonised border are visible. There are some minor losses to the gilding notably to one of the lower right balls. With old marks and scratches consistent with age and use.

Catalogue Note

Thomas Fentham (d. 1808) operated in London at 52 Strand from 1783-1802, and 136 Strand for the remainder of his career, becoming one of the most renowned British mirror manufacturers of the late 18th/early 19th century.
