Description

  • beech
with x-frame supports surmounted by spirally fluting and with a globular finial joined by padded armrests on a rectangular padded seat, the seat-rail with a ribbon-tie on inward scrolled foliate carved legs and bun feet; redecorated 

Condition

In overall good conserved condition. The colour is slightly darker overall and more attractive than the catalogue photograph. Old very minor marks, chips and scratches commensurate with age and normal usage. Joints sound and sturdy. Gilding nicely worn to the red bole in places as visible from the catalogue photograph. Hairline construction cracks at joints as visible in the photograph near the crossed ribbon which are normal and can be left.
