Condition

In overall good conserved condition. Impressive size. The colour overall is lightly darker and more natural and attractive than in the catalogue photograph. The marble top has been restored in the past. Old minor marks and chips and scratches. Construction cracks at joints and scattered age cracks which are normal. Attractive detail to carving. The front left leg has a restored break. The front right foot has been restored where the scroll has been reattached. There is a loss of gilding to the rear of the stretcher which would benefit from some attention. There are scattered age cracks and construction cracks generally but these are normal and do not detract from the piece.
