Condition
In overall good conserved condition. Colour overall slightly darker and more natural and attractive than in the catalogue photograph. Old minor marks, chips and scratches commensurate with age and normal usage. There is some very minor rubbing to the gilding. There is a horizontal construction crack running all the way round the table where the apron meets the frieze but this can easily be filled or left as this does not detract from the piece. The apron has been strengthened at the back and the two front legs have been reblocked. There is a later wooden baton supporting the marble top. There are some hairline construction cracks where the stretcher joins the legs but these do not detract from the piece. Some very minor areas of infill to the marble top which has some very minor marks and chips which are hardly noticeable.
