the rectangular top above a panelled frieze spirally turned splayed legs carved with gothic tracery joined by stretchers carved with hounds' heads on hairy paw feet
Condition
In overall good conserved condition. Colour slightly darker overall than in the catalogue Old marks, chips and scratches and staining to the top commensurate with normal usage.There is a horizontal construction crack across the top which has been filled in the past and is opening up again together with another hairline crack approx. 50cm long which can easily be filled. There is a small triangular patch to the top. Evidence of old worm which appears to be no longer active. There is a small rectangular patch to one of the stretchers.There are some scattered cracks generally. There is a 5cm section of moulding missing on the side of the frieze which is not too noticeable. The table has been varnished.
