A set of twelve Italian carved giltwood chairs, Roman late 18th/19th century

each with an oval drop-in padded back and serpentine drop-in padded seat on fluted tapering legs terminating in toupie feet, the moulded frame carved with guilloche; gilding refreshed

In overall good conserved condition. Reblocked. Old very minor chips and scratches commensurate with age and normal usage. Evidence of old very minor worm which appears to be no longer active. A few of the chairs has some larger sections of gilding flaked off the back which would benefit from some minor attention. Joints sound and sturdy.
