painted with flowering peonies within a band of iron-red diaper and half-flower head panels, concentric iron-red bands to the reverse of the saucer, the pair with moulded flowers to the exterior, painted with quatrefoil panels of figures in landscapes, embellished with purple scrollwork, gilt formal borders, crossed swords marks in underglaze-blue, gilt numeral 1., impressed marks

The teabowl and saucer, the saucer has a minor area of wear to the enamels.
The pair of cups and saucers, in overall good condition, with some typical minor scattered scratches only.
