each piece of eight-sided form painted with quatrefoil panels of figures in landscapes and harbour scenes in gilt frames, embellished with iron-red and purple scrollwork, comprising a coffeepot and hinged mounted cover, teapot and chained mounted cover, hot milk jug and hinged mounted cover, sugar box and hinged mounted cover, rectangular tea caddy and mounted cover, slop bowl, stand, six coffee cups, six double-handled cups and twelve saucers, crossed swords marks in underglaze-blue, various Dreher's marks including // for Johann Gottlieb Geithner, three circles for Gottfried Seydel and three dots for Grund Junior,
Condition
The handle of the coffee pot has been broken and re-stuck.
The teapot has an extended firing crack to the underside.
Two saucers have an old repair to a section of the rim. Another saucer has a hairline crack, approximately 8cm long.
