Description

  • 25.5cm., 10in. diameter
shaped circular, each engraved with a baron's coronet, coat of arms, crest and motto below the applied gadroon borders

Condition

Light surface scratches commensurate with age, good marks throughout, would benefit from a professional clean as there are some small corrosive spots on the gadrooned border and main surface, otherwise overall good condition, nice size.

Catalogue Note

The arms are thos of Biddulph, Barons Biddolph of Ledbury, Herefordshire. The title was created in 1903 for Michael Biddulph (1834-1923), a partner in the London banking firm of Cocks, Biddulph & Co., and MP for Herefordshire from 1868 to 1885 and for Ross from 1885 to 1900.
