Description

the rim with four vignettes of chinoiserie figures, each resting on a gilt and Böttger lustre pedestal linked by a gilt foliate scrollwork band, reserving vignettes of flowering plants and a phoenix and two birds in flight at the center, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, impressed numeral 3 to inside of footrim,

Acquired by the Grandfather of the present owner in the 1920's;

Condition

An area of the rim has been cleanly broken and re-stuck. The area consists of three pieces with minor filling along the break line. There are two small flat chips to the top side of the rim which have been repaired.
