- each 74cm. high; 2ft. 5¼in. high
each with a cover with a berried foliate finial above fluting and an egg and dart border, acanthus and beading with reeded acanthus cast scrolled candelarms terminating in berried vines above a baluster body the lower section cast with an alternating band of acanthus and scrolling foliage on a trumpet foot above a guilloche band on a square base with concave corners
Condition
In overall very good condition. The colour of the porphyry is slightly darker and the gilding more golden and attractive than in the catalogue photograph. Attractive casting to the gilt-bronze. There are some miniscule chips to the porphyry and very minor pitting to the gilt-bronze and rubbing and verde gris to the gilt-bronze bases which is hardly noticeable. The gilt-bronze mounts on the covers are a slightly different gilding than the rest.
