- 57cm. 22½in. high
5¼-inch enamel dial signed Gille Martinot A Paris, the bell striking movement with outside count wheel, anchor escapement, silk suspension and flat-bottomed plates, signed on the backplate as the dial, the drum surmounted by a laurel-draped urn and carried on the back of a boldly cast lion standing on a breakfront marble plinth applied with gilt mounts
Condition
Dial is restored, lacking front glass. Movement is complete but very much in need of a clean. Case retains the original gilding and patination, minor chips to edges of marble base. No pendulum or winder.
