5¾-inch replaced enamel dial bearing the signature Pre. LeRoy A Paris, the early 18th Century movement with rare Chevalier de Bethune escapement, silk suspension, baluster pillars, numbered outside count wheel striking on a bell, the backplate signed Pre. LeRoy A Paris, the associated and later case depicting the rape of Europa after a model by Jean-Joseph de Saint Germain

Condition

Replaced dial has hair cracks. The unusual movement appears to be complete but is very much in need of a clean and is not currently running, fitting of movement to dial plate requires attention. Case in generally good condition and retaining original gilding and patination. No pendulum or winder.
