A renaissance gilt-brass turmchenuhr, South German, circa 1620

1¾-inch replaced dial with silvered chapter ring, the posted fusee movement with lipped barrels, later verge escapement with rear pendulum, count wheel striking on a bell, the case with gilt and lapis lazuli finials and domed top above decorated pilasters and plain panels, the rear with hours indicating dial, the plinth now mounted on a later ebonised beechwood moulded base

Dial and hour had replaced. Movement is complete, contrate wheel and escapement replaced but otherwise appears to retain the original wheel work, it would benefit from a clean and service. Case is possibly re-gilt, 2 finials possibly replaced, later wooden base. No winder.
